NIU

Hey Everyone!

We made it back from NIU safely.  Most people talk about how they hate trips....I LOVE them.  I'm never happier than when I'm on the road.  The trip from the tip of Wisconsin all the way to Indy is quite a long one, and that's alright with me.  We did end up winning the entire tournament.  This would be the first tournament that my school has won first place at in several years, so we were VERY excited.  Stay tuned for an article we are working on called : "The Order of Service."

NIU

Dear Readers,

This week has been truly  amazing! I along with the Varsity basketball teams have been priviledged to be part of the Northland International University basketball invitational.  We left Indy at seven on Wednesday morning and made it in time for a delicious dinner and the evening service with Ken Ham.  This man is truly amazing and brings new and exciting evidence for creation every time I hear him speak.  We had two, two and a half hour sessions with him which were packed with great info.

The basketball tournament began early  on thursday morning and has continued on until today.  Colonial Hills has won all their games and will compete in the Championship game this afternoon against Community Baptist, (also from Indiana) which could be called one of our arch rivals!

The campus of Northland is a rather amazing place. Unlike BJU which could be described as a miniature city, this place is literally in the middle of no where!  The buildings are all spread out and surrounded by beautiful scenery.  It has been sort of like being at Camp Victory once again.  Of course, one question  people always ask about a college is: "How's the food?'  Well, I've enjoyed each and EVERY meal here! A few of the sweet highlights have been the 24 hour soft serve ice cream, the snickerdoodle cookies (Couldn't even tell you  how many of those I've had!), and the "Daily  Grind."  The "Daily Grind" is the campus coffee shop which has amazing smoothies, lattes, and my all time highlight for the week: SUPERMAN ICE CREAM! I used to get that with my dad at baskin robins and I haven't had it in years. . . so it was great.

The Lord is really using this place for his glory. Several of my classmates have confirmed in their hearts that this is where God would have them get their college education.  It is very exciting to see a place that takes a stand for the Lord, and enjoys great gospel music.  NIU is truly a haven for many. I have personally enjoyed the peace and quiet here.  But especially the peace! : )

Please be in prayer for me as I travel back this evening. . . I'll be getting back to Indy at around 2 -3 in the MORNING! So until then. . . "SAIL ON"
