Dear Readers,
I had one of the most amazing evenings! I had the privilege of going
with three of my best friends to the Good News Mission in downtown
Indianapolis. This is a shelter for homeless men. In this place they
are required to be employed and to attend the chapel services nearly
every evening. Tonight's service opened with a trumpet/sax trio by
Jordan, Dan, and Mark (my friends). They played "Be Thou Exalted."
Then I sang and opened the service up to congregation music. We only
expected there to be maybe one or two songs but God moved in and we
sang probably ten to fifteen songs. Pastor Jon Fry from Colonial
Hills preached a great salvation message. Then we sang another
closing song. We thought the service was over, but people flooded the
aisles to seek Biblical council. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully
next time we go I will be able to preach. But, as for tonight, God
gave us an amazing service. Be in prayer for us as we strive to serve
God.
