Weekend

Dear Readers,

God did something very cool in  my life this last week.  There was a youth rally in northern Indiana that I really wanted to go to.  I had been looking forward to it for months.  Then about a week before it was to happen it turned out I wasn't going to be able to go.  There was a choir workshop in Illinois that was also going on during that time as well.  So since I wasn't going to get to go to New Paris I wanted to go to this.  At the very last minute God used someone anonymous paid my way to go.  I had an amazing time with Dr. Warren Cook of BJU and Dr. Allen.  I also got to spend alot of time with Ron Hamilton's sister.  Though I didn't get to do what I was hoping, God provided a way for me to learn alot of great choir stuff.  I'd like to quickly give you a quote from Dr. Cook. " You don't know what you like, you like what you know."  Application:  It's not that you don't like the good kind of music such as  Choir music and pretty much good lyrics with music lacking rocky drums and electric guitars, but rather  you don't know anything else.  Friend, if it takes broadening your horizons and only listening to good choir music to get you off your contemporary garbage, it is completely worth it.  You will soon find that there is more than just the BJU choir.  Here's a short list of some artists you should look into:

1. BJU choral
2. Pensicola
3.  Grace BBC Choir
4.  West Coast BBC choir
5.  Golden State BBC Choir
6.  Mark Rogers
7.  Scott Roberts
8.  Ambassador BBC choir
9.  Bible Truth Corale
10. Daniel and Heidi Fox
11.  Galkin Evangelistic Team
12.  Hamiltons
13.  McBrides
14.  Lonnie Moore
15.  Russ Brothers
16.  Steve Pettit
